This mixed media piece was inspired by my recent visit to Cape Town, South Africa. I was inspired by the colors and textures of the fabrics worn by the women. The bright colors were in contrast to the arid backgrounds of endless sand and sparce vegetation outside the city. I used collage meaterials with acrylic paint to create both texture and color.
The painting is on gallery wrapped canvas, coated with a glossy gel medium and is ready to hang.
